The company is divided into five divisions: Healthcare, Technology based services and Digital, Media, Creative and Production (CPG). In the CPG sector Y&R Group works with the global and local brands of its clients in order to develop creativity that will make their brands stand out.
Y&R Group has been named Advertiser of the Year four times in a row by Adweek. Y&R Group’s Digital team takes care of the digital advertising campaign for its clients. Y&R Group has also been in charge of media planning and buying for about 500 brands in the US market.[2]

How has Y&R Group grown over the years
Y&R Group’s advertising network grew out of McCann Erickson in the early 1980s.
Y&R and Leo Burnett merged in October 1993. The agencies of Ogilvy & Mather and Grey Advertising were added in 1995, forming a division called O&MY&R Network Services. A year later, Y&R merged with BBDO to create a global network called Y&RBBDO. In 2001, the name was shortened to Y&R. The agency also became a holding company through which majority shares of various other agencies, including J. Walter Thompson and Young & Rubicam, were acquired.
Other acquisitions and joint ventures have increased Y&R Group’s market share in some areas. In August 2005, the group acquired BBDO Worldwide (formerly known as Bates Worldwide) in a deal that valued the agency at US$2.7 billion. It also purchased the brand names of British advertising firm Young & Rubicam (Y&R) and Doyle Dane Bernbach (DDB London) in 2009. It was estimated that the acquisition, which gave Y&R a 45% global leadership position, would enable it to exceed its target of US$8 billion in annual domestic ad sales by 2010.
The advertising agency has more than $4 billion in annual ad sales worldwide and is led by chairman David Droga, who previously worked with DDB Paris. Y&R is headquartered in New York City and operates 9 offices in the US, the UK, Asia and Latin America.
