This is a follow-up article to “How to Get Started on YouTube” which was published in June, 2015. YouTube is the most widely used video sharing platform on the internet and has been instrumental in launching people’s careers online. This guide lists 37 websites where you can learn new skills or knowledge from a variety of topics and teach you everything from photography to programming, it also gives 4 steps to get started with Youtube. There are many people who have used YouTube to start their careers and make a name for themselves. That’s why many people are signing up and creating their channel just to become a popular YouTuber, they believe that by doing this they can earn money by having ads on YouTube. But, actually it won’t happen overnight. If you want to be a successful YouTuber, then first you need to understand the following things:
1. YouTube is just not a job, but an art which requires creativity and flexibility. If you are not creative and flexible then don’t even think of becoming a professional YouTuber because your career won’t last for long.
2. YouTube is not a money making machine, but it’s more of a skill-developing medium which can help you in your career and otherwise too (if you advertise your services somewhere else).
3. Success on YouTube is not guaranteed, no matter who you are. Most of the people who are trying to become famous on YouTube will fail. It requires a lot of creativity, hard work and dedication to make it big on YouTube. But at the same time some normal people too have been able to gain popularity on YouTube because they have the knack for it.

It has become more popular over the years and people are more aware of it because there are still people who don’t know about this video sharing website. At the beginning YouTube was limited and you can only watch videos if you have a computer. Then YouTube started to evolve into a social network where you can share anything whether it’s your personal photos, videos or upload videos of your own to share with others. As of this moment, YouTube has become a hub for videos and people have started to use it not just as a social media platform but also as a video-based knowledge base. Some people use it to advertise their business, some use it to share their daily activities, some use it to show how they do things and there are hundreds of videos that you can find on YouTube that you didn’t even know existed. Many people use it as a platform to learn new things, or ask questions and get answers from other people. As of this part of the article, I will do a round of questions from my viewers about how YouTube has changed over the years.

A: From the very beginning YouTube was something where you could upload videos to share with people and subscribers who would view these videos and reply your comments on them. But as the years were passing by, it has become a platform that anyone can use as a media. Many people upload their own personal content to share with their friends and family.

On YouTube, controversies can arise when someone uploads a video that didn’t clearly state their intentions, this leads to confusion and it creates a snowball effect where the video spreads like wildfire and people start to scrutinize the content on their own and sometimes it leads to unwanted responses. This has happened several times on YouTube, they usually make a statement that they are sorry and that they have removed the offensive video. If you don’t have many subscribers, then you won’t be removed from the platform. However if you have more than one million followers, then you will be suspended because the creators of YouTube views it as an invasion of privacy, when people are sharing their personal activities.
My opinion on this is that there are some great channels that have been created by interesting and creative people. This is also why I believe YouTube should not be censored. YouTube allows freedom of speech, even if they are saying something offensive to people, then people should be allowed to say what they want and share it through the platform. If it is offensive, then the platform has a system for you to label it weak and remove it off your channel. YouTube has a reliable moderation system for people to be controlled effectively if they are being offensive or homophobic. You can also find out information about a person or a business by going on their social media page, and not just their YouTube channel.
Offer a few suggestions for how youtube could improve moving forward
YouTube is a website that has become a hub for information, it’s not only confined to videos but people are also sharing their personal life through it. That’s why YouTube should be more interactive and personal. First of all, they should give you the option to upload your video in only one stream, then once you have done that then you can add comments underneath the video which would work much better. Add an application so that people can comment from any device and from anywhere on the internet. With the applications, people can share their daily activities and also ask questions and get answers from other people who have knowledge in their field of expertise. This change will greatly help YouTube because then it will be less confusing and more interactive, people can interact with each other in a more personal way. Add some other types of backgrounds for the videos such as scenic views of places and even add face-cam by giving people the option to film themselves on YouTube. That way people can share their lives and not just videos. People should also be able to create playlists because if they add uploads in a sequence then it makes it easier for them to watch it instead of having to click on every single video every time. This is just a few ideas that YouTube could implement and make their website more interactive and personal.

I think that one of the biggest problems with YouTube is that people are still new to this website, there are thousands of channels on YouTube and not a lot of people know about them. That’s why they should start using this video sharing platform as a digital hub by creating more videos, upload more videos and post more videos where they can interact with their viewers. They don’t need to publish every video right away because it takes a while before you start getting viewership. I think that YouTube can be more interactive by adding more applications where the user can add a video and then share it with the public, you don’t need to wait for days before anyone can view your video. Then you can use YouTube to get knowledge from experts, share your personal life with people who are interested in what you are doing, ask for advice and find out about different health problems. I think that YouTube could be a place where people can share their life and at the same time learn new things, from people from all around the world. I think every user should start using YouTube because through videos we can speak and hear what other people have to say, by creating more videos you are more familiar with your channel, you can see which one is being viewed the most and if you want to make a new video, it would be easier to make with the feedback you get daily. I think that YouTube can be a very powerful tool for everyone to use, I have started using this website to reach my audience by posting videos, I have already got a few subscribers but that was thanks to the people who don’t follow me.
