Clip Studio Paint is a great program for creating comics and illustrations
I’ve been using CLIP STUDIO PAINT for about three years, and I love how easy it is to work with the program. It provides a ton more creative freedom than procreate, and consumers can purchase only the expansion packs that they need. The list of expansion packs is similar to procreate’s, which makes it easy to find new tools without having to hunt for them.
The layers in CLIP STUDIO PAINT have a great simplicity to them, which makes it easy to find what you need and get started on a new piece. The only downside of the program is that some of the tools come with special controls, which take some time getting used to.
With procreate’s simplicity, ease of use, and clear interface I would recommend it over clip studio paint for amateurs or people who want an easier program to work with. The only reason I would recommend clip studio paint over procreate is because of its low learning curve, and the fact that the program forces you to make a digital comic. This makes the program very engaging and fun to work with, which is something procreate could never claim about itself. [go here for article background information]

Procreate is a great program for creating digital art
procreate is a similarly easy and fun program for digital art. It’s very similar to CLIP STUDIO PAINT, but there are also a few key differences. I like procreate because it’s lightweight, so even my slow laptop doesn’t have any problems with it. It’s also free, which is a huge benefit to those who don’t want to plunk down the cash for a new art program. The only downside of procreate is the missing layer feature, but most pro artists can overlook this issue.
procreate’s most compelling feature is its pressure sensitivity, which allows creators to create images that feel smooth and natural on a touchscreen. This kind of feature is gaining popularity with the new generation of artists, and I think it can be very handy in some cases.
If you haven’t heard of procreate, I recommend checking it out. “procreate review” : “It’s no secret that digital art will require a touch of innovation for the betterment of art history and digital art is no exception.
procreate is a software program specifically created for digital artists. It has many features that make it an excellent choice for people just getting into the world of digital art.
Pros – I like procreate’s pressure sensitivity feature. It allows me to create images that are very smooth and natural on touchscreen devices. The program also offers tilt-shift effects, which are great for depth-of-field effects.
Cons – procreate does not have a paint feature for the layer-based view.”

Both programs have their own strengths and weaknesses
clip studio paint has a ton of tools and features that procreate lacks, but the flip side is that it’s a lot more complicated to use. I’m an amateur artist, so I don’t want to worry about hunting down tutorials or figuring out how to use the program on my own. procreate is great because it gives you access to all the great tutorials out there, which makes it super easy to learn. The real downside of procreate is that it’s a bit more difficult to use, and there aren’t as many people using it as there are using clip studio paint.
As a general overview, it’s easier to use clip studio paint over procreate because clips are easier to work with. If you want many effects on your artwork, clip studio paint makes it easy for you to do that. For example, if you want to add effects like chrome or fire and sparks on the bottom of an image, it’s a lot easier in clip studio paint than in procreate. There’s also a lot more documentation on clips than there is on procreate. For example, in procreate you have to navigate through so many different menus in order to do certain things. With clip studio paint, all the menus are pretty obvious and self-explanatory.
In procreate, every other layer is transparent and has its own transparency slider. In clip studio paint, every layer is opaque and still has its transparency slider. One of the biggest issues is that the two programs have similar functionality, but it’s not quite the same in those fields where they are different. Clip studio paint also comes with a lot of reference material, but it’s not quite as organized as procreate.

Which program is right for you depends on what you want to use it for
I would like to thank procreate for letting me use their products for free and demonstrating how amazing they are!
I would like to thank Clip Studio Paint for being free and letting me test out their products!
#1. Which program is right for you depends on what you want to use it for!
The differences between these products are key. The only way to know which one would be best is by knowing what you want to use it for and the price tag attached to your purchase. I must say that I myself was very surprised to discover how different these two applications are.
#2. Artistic vs. professional painting tools: I believe that procreate has a slight edge for professional painters or people who will want their art to be in demand because of the beautiful and polished results that they can achieve. This is argued by the artistic sliders, like color correction/additive/subtractive, as well as the many brushes and brushes sets.
#3. Photo realistic style vs. Artistic style: Clip studio can be used by a wide audience. One of the most useful features is the ability to use different brushes and brushes sets, depending on what you want to achieve (artistic/photo realistic), but at the same time have no worries as it is very easy to add your own brushes as well!

If you’re not sure which program to choose, try out both of them and see which one you like better
I’ve started creating a lot more digital art, and I can see myself using either of these programs for years to come. There are pros and cons to both of them, but they’re both fantastic products that produce beautiful artwork. If you’re in the market for a new art program, grab a free trial of these two options and try them out. They’re both so easy to use that you can create art with them right away.
Clip Studio Paint Pro [CLIP STUDIO PAINT]
Clip Studio Paint is the art program I started using when I made my first professional sale last year. It’s easy to use, it has some handy features, and it can produce animation as well! I really enjoy using this program because of how user-friendly it is, especially if you’re just starting out with digital art. It’s not the most advanced program out there, but it’s an excellent place to start if you’re just getting your feet wet. Check out these four pros and cons of Clip Studio Paint to see if this is a good fit for you.
