What is WatchGuard End of Life (EOL)?
Watchguard end of life (EOL) is the term we use internally to refer to an event that occurs at the same time as a product reaches its end-of-life. Basically, it is the date a product is discontinued and no longer available for sale. Once we reach that date, all further warranty issues are handled by the end-of-life partner. If a customer needs help with a warranty issue after Watchguard EOL, they need to contact their original point of purchase.
WatchGuard recommends all customers from the affected product line begin planning for a replacement before an end-of-life date. This is especially true for larger companies or those with multiple WatchGuard products in use. Customers can find replacement options in the latest edition of the Buyer’s Guide at https://www-ssl.watchguard.com/documents/buyersguide/.
Once a product reaches EOL status, it is considered outdated and unsupported by WatchGuard. Customers with EOL products will not be able to purchase replacement parts from WatchGuard or find support through The WatchGuard Store or through the normal support channels.
