How to install Via Platform Device Manager
Via Platform Device Manager comes as part of the VIA Chipset Driver Pack which can be downloaded on the Via website or may already be included with your motherboard. If you don’t have it, go to http://www.viaarenaforum.com and download it: http://www.viaarenaforum.com/software/downloads.php
Click on the download link and save to your desktop.
If asked “Are you sure you want to download this file”, click on OK.
Once downloaded, double click on the downloaded file.
A window will open. Ensure the option “Run with administrator privilege” is selected: http://www.viaarenaforum.com/software/downloads.php
Install the VIA Platform Device Manager utility by clicking on “Install”.
The next time you restart your PC, you will be prompted to allow the software to install. Ensure you select: “Run with administrator privilege”.
Next the installation will ask for your Windows installation and driver versions. Agree to install Via platform device manager and continue with the installation. Once complete, restart your computer again to complete the VIA Platform Device Manager installation.
The VIA Platform Device Manager will automatically install the rest of the driver pack and will provide a message that it has completed successfully.
