If you’re not getting any matches, it’s likely because no one is swiping right on you
If you’re not getting any matches in your tinder, it’s likely because no one is swiping right on you. Sometimes, this can be a little tricky to understand and can be confusing to some people — especially those who don’t understand how tinder works. Keep reading for some helpful tips about how to get matches.
1. Take a good picture — Really. The most important thing when it comes to getting matches on tinder is your profile picture and the pictures you use in your gallery. Make sure that your primary picture is a clear, well lit and high quality picture of you smiling showing off your teeth. Make sure that the background isn’t cluttered. The picture needs to be clear, high quality and show your face. Don’t use a group picture as your primary one. Boosting your attractiveness level can be done by having great pictures. You need to be able to get noticed and attract as many people as possible when it comes to getting matches on tinder.

If you’ve been swiped left on, Tinder will show you a notification
If you’ve been swiped left on, Tinder will let you know by sending a notification to tell you about the people who swiped left on you. Depending on how often Tinder chooses to send this notification, it might not be available right when you get your notifications. It’s usually a little bit later, which is why you might not notice right away. But the next time you see this notification, it will be your opportunity to get back into the game.

You can also check your “matches” tab to see who has already swiped left on you
Tinder doesn’t send a notification when someone swipes left on you — it only does so when someone swipes right on you. However, Tinder does actually show you who has already swiped left on your profile in the “matches” tab. This is what you’ll see when you check your “matches” tab:
I have a Tinder Plus subscription, and in the “matches” tab, I will always have at most 50 people who have already swiped left on me.
This is different from the “left you on the shelf” notification, which is only shown when someone swipes right on your profile. This notification does not include everyone who has already swiped left on you — for example, if three people swipe left on you at once, you’ll only get one notification with three left-swipe marks.

If someone has swiped left on you, there’s no need to be discouraged – just keep using the app and hopefully you’ll find someone who is interested in you!
Even though Tinder only sends you a notification when someone swipes right on you, it doesn’t mean that no one has ever swiped left on you. You just might not be receiving the notifications. Keep using the app and hopefully you’ll find someone who’s interested in you.

You might be thinking: “But I’ve been swiped left a lot of times and tried to message the guys that swiped me left.”
“Well, you should give it a chance otherwise you’ll miss a great opportunity to meet someone new.
“Would you rather notice every time someone on Tinder liked your profile or every time someone liked your profile so you can reply?” It’s up to you, but remember it’s not always about getting the first message or the first date. Sometimes being swiped left is pretty much the same thing.
