Introduction: Why do you need an MSI Monitor?

A lot of people don’t realize that an MSI monitor is better than a regular monitor. People buy monitors all the time and use them for about a year then get rid of them for something new. If you’re going to get a new monitor, it might as well be an important investment. When you have an MSI monitor, the quality is amazing and you won’t need to replace it in years like with regular monitors. There are two common problems people have with their monitors. Firstly, their monitor has a dark screen and they can’t see the screen very well. Secondly, they can’t see their desktop properly. A lot of people think that it’s only because their monitor is old so it’s not working properly. This isn’t actually true though. Usually monitors go out of date because of poor quality cables or bad video cards in them which could cause problems with the display in general. In order to fix the problems with your current monitor, you have to have an MSI Monitor. What an MSI monitor does is it filters or cleans up the signal coming from your video card. This is why you won’t have dark screens or problems seeing your desktop even with older monitors. Another great feature about an MSI monitor is that its power consumption is low so it doesn’t use a lot of electricity.

Setting up Your New MSI Monitor Properly

So you’ve bought your MSI monitor (or you’re buying on right now), and it’s time to set it up. You should never just plug in your monitor, do a few basic options, and then expect it to work fine. First of all, if you have a VGA cable, don’t use it. You need to have a DVI cable for your monitor. Secondly, turn your monitor off while you plug it in. It’s always better to prevent possible power surges by turning off the device before plugging it in. After you’ve done this, find the monitor controls somewhere on the screen but never just assume that it’s the button on the front of the monitor.
Moving to a different input mode will result in that setting page going away and you won’t be able to use your display until you’ve changed it back. Regardless of which input mode you’re using, turn OFF any devices that your monitor doesn’t need. If you are using a cable with an S-Video output, and your computer doesn’t have an S-Video port, then don’t just leave that cable connected even though your monitor might work with it.
Turn off any devices that you aren’t actually using. Otherwise, your monitor may come to a screeching halt, with the only fix being to turn of your computer, unplugging from the wall and maybe even pulling out the power cable. Depending on how much stuff you’ve got plugged into your computer, you’ll have one or more cables connected to it. If you don’t know what they do, then just unplug them all and turn off your computer.

Common MSI Monitor Issues & Solutions

If your monitor has that dark screen, it could be because there’s a video card or cables in your case. Try to move the cables around. If there’s nothing, find out what software you have installed and uninstall any programs that you don’t need. Next, make sure your video card is working properly by checking to see if you can have another program open at the same time. If this isn’t doing anything, try plugging in a different cable and then change your settings for the color settings for your monitor. You should get the best results by using a static color. If you have any other software, install it, but if you don’t need it, then uninstall it. If your monitor is large and that you can’t see the desktop well, it could be because your resolution is set to small or that you have a lot of windows open at the same time. Try going to Display Properties in Control Panel > Settings > Advanced Settings > And change the Resolution to something much more. You’ll also want to make sure that your color shading is set properly. If you don’t see your fonts, you’ll want to make sure that you have a font called MS Sans Serif (or something similar) in the font folder.
