Introduction: How does the “Clouds” option work?
The “CLOUDS” option in Minecraft turns off the 3D clouds that appear when you fly high in the game. It sounds simple enough, but there are many people who don’t know what it does. Basically, if you want to skip clouds altogether then enabling this option will do so and make your sky a little less cloudy. Also, this doesn’t do anything if you have trouble with the “cloud-filled sky” option. Instead, you have to turn that off in order to get rid of clouds.
Now, if you only want to reduce the amount of clouds, then there are a few things you can do. For example, if you want to remove only the on-screen clouds and keep the ones that appear when flying high up in space then go under Edit Profile
and find Graphics
. Then click “Advanced Settings” under the “Minecraft” tab. Then look for the option that says “Clouds:YES/NO.” If you want to remove clouds altogether then set this to “NO.”

What’s the Difference Between “Normal” and “Fast” Performance Settings?
The difference between Normal and Fast settings is the amount of detail in your world. You can see more terrain if you have it on Fast, but it has a hit to your FPS. There is currently no way to turn off clouds in Minecraft when using Fast Perfomance, only Normal. IT’S NOT WORKING! Pop into the comments.

Oh my gosh, some things do not work like they should. I mean, that turned off clouds, but still! It’s not fast performance, it screws with your graphics for no reason. I’m guessing this is supposed to be a joke or something. You can’t see the terrain with fast performance either unless you’re too close to it.

I just know this is a troll. It doesn’t do anything. I’ve checked.

How to Turn Off Clouds & Create a Beautiful Sky with the BetterSky Mod
This simple mod is a good way to enjoy the sunsets, sunrises, and clear skies of Minecraft. To use it you must install Better Skies and then type /betterskies in-game. After you do that, you can turn clouds off whenever you want by going to the Options menu and clicking Weather and select “Clear Sky”. That will set up your sky so that it doesn’t have a cloud in it. From there, whenever you want to see a clear sky without clouds, just go to the options menu, click weather and select “Clear Sky”. If this doesn’t do what you need then I suggest using Better Skies over 3D Clouds because Better Skies is more realistic (more atmospheric) than 3D Cloud.

This is awesome because you can see the sunsets, sunrises, and clear skies without having to worry about clouds obscuring your view. I have used this mod for years and it’s great! If you are looking for a way to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Minecraft with no cloud coverage then look no further than 3D Clouds! [NOTE] This does not work on Fast Performance mode.
