Introduction: What is a Summoning Pool, and Why Should You Care?
Summoning pools are a type of bounty system that allow for the gathering of players and their characters for unique, challenging content. If a group or individual comes up with the creative idea to create such a pool, it automatically becomes a “public pool” and anyone can join in on the fun (i.e. become a member). The first time someone participates in one of these public pools, they receive “member credits”. These member credits will let them take part in another pool within a 24 hour time limit. For example, if you are a member of the first public pool you join, and you take part in the public pool a second time within that 24 hour period, you will have to wait an additional 24 hours to participate again.

What are the Best Uses for Summoning Pools?
There are a variety of public pool ideas. From events to large battles to group adventures, there is something for everyone. Over the past year, the largest summoner pools I’ve seen (they are both public and private) have been in Castle Deathwish by Jambo and Filtch in the instance of “Blindsides”. These pools have over 100 members and at least 20 participants for every encounter. They are very fun, challenging and popular. There is no reason you can’t create your personal pool for a group of friends or make your own rules to a traditional pool.
