Oracle ERP Cloud
Oracle is the most popular enterprise resource planning software in the world, with more than 2 million organizations. Its product suite offers cloud, desktop, and mobile applications that enable users to manage their business operations. Oracle ERP Cloud is the latest version of Oracle ERP that can be accessed via a web browser or smartphone. This application has modules for nearly every business operation, such as Sales, Human Resources (HR), and Project Management to name a few. It can be integrated with other Oracle products and non-Oracle products from other manufacturers.
Oracle ERP Cloud is built on the Oracle Fusion Architecture. It offers four distinct deployment models: single-tenant, multi-tenant, private, and public cloud. The single-tenant and private cloud models are deployed on your own server with Oracle providing the software as a service (SaaS). You also can choose to host the application yourself or purchase a license to use Oracle’s public cloud model where Oracle manages the servers for you. Multi-tenant is a combination of the single-tenant and public cloud models, where customers can share the same application environment.
Oracle has over 6 million customers in more than 130 countries and territories. Oracle is also the second largest business software vendor, with over 1,700 products and services that are used by customers around the world to manage core business operations.
Infor ERP Cloud
Infors is a public enterprise resource planning software company. It was formed in 2002, and it competes with Oracle and SAP. Infors has grown rapidly over its lifetime, both in terms of revenue and customer base, as well as the number of employees.The company has a wide range of products that cover the entire business operations spectrum. The ERP Cloud version is comparable to Oracle ERP Cloud in features, but it is designed for mid-sized businesses and has a lower cost in comparison to Oracle Cloud.
Infors ERP Cloud is a cloud application that is designed for mid-sized businesses. The cost of the product is about 30% less than Oracle’s. The software runs on Windows Small Business Server as well as Linux and Oracle’s Linux Enterprise Edition. The service also offers access from mobile devices.
Infor ERP Cloud has two main modules – Production and Financials. The former has planning, production and quality control functions. The latter is for managing the accounting, budgeting and payroll processes.
The ERP Cloud also has modules for supplies management, materials management and distribution. There are also modules for customer relationship management (CRM), supplier relationship management (SRM) and public sector solutions (PSS). All modules are integrated with each other to form a complete solution.
Comparison of features
Oracle ERP Cloud has all of the features of Oracle ERP that are available in commercial versions. The modules include inventory and finance, costing, orders, sales and project management. For example, the company offers a module that calculates taxes. SAP has similar modules in SAP NetWeaver and SAP Business Suite. Infors ERP Cloud is designed for mid-sized organizations but it is not suitable for smaller organizations as it lacks some critical modules, such as sales and finance modules. Infors ERP Cloud has a flat rate of $500/month for an unlimited number of users on the cloud service. Oracle Cloud has a flat fee, with no limit on how many users can be added.
Neither provider has a hosting option without access to the cloud service. However, organizations with existing Oracle or SAP systems can deploy their own on-premises instances.

Which is the best for your business needs?
The pros and cons of using Oracle ERP Cloud or Infors ERP Cloud are covered in the following paragraphs. For the purpose of this article, it is assumed that you need a solution that can cover all aspects of your business operations. Both cloud ERP systems are designed for mid-sized businesses, but Infors ERP Cloud is more suitable for smaller organizations. Oracle ERP Cloud has a lower cost than Infors ERP Cloud. This is because Oracle ERP Cloud is built on top of Oracle’s cloud infrastructure and has a higher number of extensions available.
Oracle ERP Cloud is an integrated, end-to-end solution that can satisfy the needs of any company in any industry. It has all the standard modules such as: financial accounting, customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM) and human capital management (HCM). It is flexible enough to be integrated with other systems such as SAP or non-Oracle applications. It is scalable and can be customized for specific needs.
Advantages:
Infors ERP Cloud is ideal for companies with fewer staff members, or those requiring less customization for their business operations. It has good basic functionality but does not include all of the advanced features that Oracle ERP Cloud offers.
