Mighty Networks is a social media platform designed for businesses, organizations, and professionals.

A popular social media site with an impressive, diverse customer base. The app has been shared in TechCrunch and featured in Forbes. This is a remarkable feat for a company which only launched in June of 2014.
The app provides a platform for users to post any kind of media– text, image, and video. Users can share their content on the network from their phone or computer. Once a piece of content has been created, it is sent out to the individual’s Mighty Network (i.e.: followers) with the option of “boosting” it for a fee. Clicking on popular content allows users to download it or share it from their own networks. There is also an option to upload content that is not stored on their own network, either as a photo or a video.
While this may seem like a somewhat simple app, the success of Mighty Networks demonstrates that users are willing to pay for any type of media. The app has been downloaded about 100,000 times since its launch, at a rate of about 100 downloads per week.

Mighty Networks is better for businesses that want to create and manage private social networks for their employees or customers.

Mighty Networks offers three levels of accounts: free, standard and premium. The free version is optimized for advertisers and small businesses, giving priority to brand awareness over features. The standard account offers a wide range of features for businesses with a continuous flow of content. The premium account offers business tools like tools for advertising, user management, promotion and support (Mighty Networks, 2016).
With Mighty Networks, account creation is a simple affair. Upon creating their free account, users are asked to enter the social network’s URL and password. The URL and password are in addition to the business’ existing domain name and even email addresses. This ensures that those who have signed up for the social network can also be reached when signing up for another service from the same company (Mighty Networks, 2016).
When creating a free account, Mighty Networks changes all user profiles by algorithm. This means that a user’s name, bio and other details are not up to them. The algorithm is programmed with a name generator based on famous people. Users can change their name, bio and profile picture once they have upgraded to the standard or premium account (Mighty Networks, 2016).

Kajabi is better for businesses that want to create and sell online courses.

Kajabi offers three types of accounts: basic, pro and agency. A basic account allows you to set up an online course without any extra features. The agency account caters to large organizations that require custom solution design, dedicated project management and a team of experts to manage multiple accounts (Kajabi, 2016).
Kajabi’s pricing is reasonable. They offer only one pricing plan which gives you access to all features. This plan has three tiers based on the number of users that access your content: 1-10 users ($250), 11-50 users ($525) and 51+ users ($675).
Kajabi is easy to use. You can quickly create an online course in less than 10 minutes by just filling out a simple form (Kajabi, 2016). This form will walk you through each section that you need to complete your course.
