What to do if you can’t view any posts on Instagram
Open Instagram on a different device, such as your mobile phone. Sometimes Instagram might be having trouble loading on one device but might work on another.
Open Instagram on a different browser. Find out what browser you’re using, then open Instagram from a different web browser such as Chrome or Safari.
Check your Internet connection. Try restarting your modem and router, unplugging them for about 10 seconds then plugging them back in; this should make sure that your Wi-Fi is working properly and reset any issues you might be having with the Internet connection.
Turn off data roaming. If you’re on a Wi-Fi network, check with the network administrator to make sure data roaming is turned off in your phone settings.

Why you might have been restricted from Instagram
To tell if you’ve been restricted, go to someone’s profile on Instagram and see if you can see a greyed out version of their profile. If you see it, congratulations, you’ve been restricted! Luckily there are ways to unblock yourself from Instagram using VPN or other methods.
#1 – Why you might have been restricted
You might have been restricted from Instagram if you were only allowed to follow a few people, or even worse, none at all. You might have been restricted if you were trying to post too many pictures in one day. You might have been restricted if Instagram thought you were using a fake profile. You might have been restricted if Instagram thought you were using a fake phone number to sign up for their service. You might have been restricted if your account has had too many password attempts to login due to someone trying to hack into your account.
#2 – Different reasons why your account might be logged out

How to tell if you’ve been restricted on Instagram
If you’ve been restricted, you can still access a greyed out version of your account or a message that says “Sorry, this page isn’t available”. Here’s how to detect if you’ve been restricted on Instagram.
1. Log into your account to access the homepage
2. Scroll down and tap “Privacy & Safety” in your navigation bar at the bottom of the screen
3. Tap “Your Account Details” at the top of this page and check for a red label with “Restricted”, or for a message that says, “Sorry, this page isn’t available”. If you see either one, it means you’ve been restricted from posting content on Instagram.
4. If you don’t see a restriction message, the most common reason is that you haven’t been using your account in a while.
5. If you want to stay on Instagram and explore new features and content, follow these steps:
a. Log into your account to access the homepage
6. Scroll down and tap “Account” in your navigation bar at the bottom of the screen
7. Tap “Account Settings” on the [new] menu at the top right of your account settings page
8. Tap “Resolve an Issue” at the bottom of this page and select “I don’t agree with an Instagram decision” to submit a request
9. Tap “Privacy & Safety” on your profile following this request
10. Follow the onscreen instructions

What to do if you’ve been restricted on Instagram
Instagram doesn’t inform you when you’re restricted, as they won’t tell you what this means either. So don’t worry if you’re wondering why your account is in grey – it’s possible there’s nothing wrong!
As we’ve mentioned, certain posts won’t show up if you’ve been restricted. So if you have any questions about the images you actively post, let us know – we’ll try to help.
Avoid violating Instagram’s Community Guidelines
The most important thing to do is avoid violating Instagram’s Community Guidelines. These rules exist for a reason, and should be taken seriously as they reflect on your business and image.
Our goal for these restrictions is to keep your account safe and secure, in addition to helping you grow your following. The point is that you can only post what’s allowed on Instagram – not what isn’t. If you have any questions about this, please let us know.
Be respectful and approachable
How to prevent being restricted on Instagram
There are several reasons why you might get restricted from Instagram. The most common one is that a user has reported your account for inappropriate content and Instagram has disabled it temporarily to investigate. If you see any spam on your profile or if you’re using bots to boost likes and comments, you’re more likely to get restricted.
You can also get restricted for:
-viewing or downloading pornographic content in private messages
-accusing another user of being a bot or cheating when it’s not true (e.g. saying a celebrity uses a bot account)
-using “abusive” language
-causing the Instagram account to be reported for spam, inappropriate content, or other reasons. When you do this, your account gets restricted and you are banned from using it again (unless you’ve deactivated it first).
-causing the Instagram account to be reported for abuse or inappropriate content, etc. When you do this, the account will be restricted and you will not be able to access it until its reviewed by the staff.
