Introduction: Why Would You Want Your Private or Trophy-Unlocked Games Hidden from View?
I’m not sure if you know, but the Xbox One allows you to hide your games from view. This can be a good thing if you have private games that you don’t want people seeing, or trophy-locked/unearned games that you would rather not show off to your friends. Private games are still available to play, and you can even hide your external HDD from view if you want.
But today, I’m going to show you how to unhide games on the Xbox One (no external HDD required). Once this is done, you won’t have to have your games hidden from view. This does come at a price though: if your settings for “Hide disc content” and “Unlock disc content” are set to ON, then you won’t be able to see your games.
If you want more on this topic, here is the official Xbox One guide.
I’ll going to assume that you have “Disc & USB storage” set to ON. If you don’t, then turn it off, otherwise your games will be hidden from view on the Xbox One!
To unhide your games:
1. On your Xbox One’s dashboard: Settings (not home; this is for all settings).
2. Scroll down to System and scroll right to “Storage”.
3. Set “Disc & USB storage” to ON.
Note: You can also unhide your games on your Xbox One dashboard itself by heading to Guide > System > Storage (again, this is for all settings).
4. Unhide all of your games!
How Do I Hide My Games on Xbox One
To hide your games from view, you will need to keep on pressing the menu button on your controller until the options menu appears, then press left or right to select “My games & apps.” If you want any external storage drive to be hidden from view, simply perform the same steps but once you get to the “My games & apps” menu, press the menu button again and this time you should see a “Manage storage” option. Press A to select it and then scroll down to the bottom of the list until you see your external drive. Select it and then press right or left to select “off.”
The first time you perform this process, you will only see the games, apps and other content that you have stored on your hard drive in your Xbox One, but the next time you perform this process again, your external storage devices will be hidden from view. To remove a hidden device, simply go through the same process until you get to the “Manage storage” option and press A to select it. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list until you see your external drive. Then select “on” and then press right or left to select off.
You can also go back through all of these steps to hide or unhide other content on your Xbox One, such as the Xbox 360 games on your internal storage or Xbox One apps such as Netflix, Amazon Video, Skype or Spotify.
How Do I Unhide My Xbox One Hidden Games?
To unhide games you have hidden, just perform the same steps but once you get to the “My games & apps” menu, press the menu button again and this time you should see a “Manage storage” option. Press A to select it and then scroll down to the bottom of the list until you see your external drive. Press left or right to select it and then press A to confirm selection. You should now get a list of all the games that are on the drive. Press A to select a game and then choose “Unhide” from the menu to unhide it. Repeat this process for every game you wish to unhide.

If you’re getting tired of viewing games on your Xbox One, and would rather not have any games viewable, here’s a quick tutorial on how to hide them.
To hide/unhide/view games:
Since the secret isn’t really in the name, I’ll tell you what it is- this will allow you to “hide” or “unhide” any game that’s been installed. Simply follow the steps below.
1. From the Xbox One home menu, click on “Console” from the pane on the left hand side.
2. Click on “Games” from the pane on the left hand side of your console (it displays games that have been played as well as games you currently own).
3. Select a game you wish to hide and/or unhide by clicking on it (when you select a game, other options will appear).
