Introduction: How Does Duo Work?
Duo makes video calling easy and secure. Share live, face-to-face conversations with your family or friends on any device. Duo is a mobile app available on iOS and Android. Duo is free to download and use.
Here’s how it works:
Download the free Duo mobile app on your iOS or Android device. Enter your phone number, select a video source and tap “Call.” Duo will use your device’s built-in camera to make a video call over 3G or Wi-Fi. If there are multiple people in the room, you can add them to a group video call.
Duo contacts are unique and secure. When you download Duo to your mobile device, we generate a new phone number for you. Your contacts don’t need to download Duo to call you, but they can call you through the app if they do.

How to Log into the Duo Website
To log into Duo, you need a Duo account and a valid phone number. If you have not created an account for yourself, you will be prompted to do so at the time of login. Visit http://www.duoprivacy.com/login_page.html Using Duo is free and easy, with no ads or extra fees, so you can use it on all your computers, phones and tablets.
To create your Duo account:
1) Go to http://www.duoprivacy.com/register_page.html and follow the instructions on the page to submit an email address and phone number for your Duo account.
2) Check your email (and spam folder) for an email from “duo.com” to activate your account.
3) Once you receive the activation link in your email, click it and confirm the Duo account activation. You will need to agree to a Terms of Service agreement before Duo can officially log you in.
4) After you are activated, return to http://www.duoprivacy.com/login_page.html.
5) Enter your account name, password (duoPassword), and phone number you used to register for your Duo account. Then click the Log In button.
Unblocking People on Duo Mobile App
If you find that someone is continually bothering you or is harassing you, you can easily block their Duo account from contacting you. You can do this from a computer or on the Duo mobile app. To block users from contacting you from the Duo website, navigate to the “Settings” tab, select “Privacy,” then select”People” and click on the name of a blocked user. To view your blocked list on the Duo mobile app, tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines), then tap “Blocked users.” You can block users from contacting you by text or email, Twitter or Facebook, and much more.

How to Log Into the Duo Website
If you find that someone is continually bothering you or is harassing you, you can easily block their Duo account from contacting you. You can do this from a computer or on the Duo mobile app. To block users from contacting you from the Duo website, navigate to the “Settings” tab, select “Privacy,” then select”People” and click on the name of a blocked user. To block a user on the Duo mobile app, tap on their name in the contact list.
You can also set your account to “Do not Disturb” so that you won’t get notifications whether they are contacting you or not. To set this, enter your password and tap on “Don’t Disturb” in the top right corner of your contact list. On the Duo mobile app, click on “Settings,” then click on “Do Not Disturb.
If you have more than one phone number, you’ll want to block any phone numbers added to your account that are not yours. To do this, click on “Settings.” From there, click on the “Phone Numbers” link. Select the number to block from the list and click on “Block Now.”
Before you can block someone from contacting you, their contact information needs to be saved in your Duo account. If you don’t know who is contacting you or why, contact your administrator for assistance.
