Get an ethernet cable
The first thing you’ll need is an Ethernet cable. These are usually in the form of a thin, long wire that plugs into a single port on your Xbox One. Basically, it’s the kind of cable that connects your computer to your internet router.
If you’re currently playing over a wireless connection, it’s time to make the switch. Wired is always better than wireless, especially when you want to take advantage of features like “re-streaming” or recording gameplay.
Find out where your ethernet cable plugs into on your Xbox One console. It’ll either be in the back of your Xbox One (either right side or left side) or under the top cover that flips up and down.
Once you know what port it plugs into, you’ll need to decide how long of a cable you want. This will depend on where your television is in relation to the Xbox One console.
