What is bluebeam and how does it work
Bluebeam is a leading provider of software that helps architects and engineers design, collaborate and communicate more efficiently. It can be used on both the cloud and on-premise. Its most notable feature is its ability to reduce file size by up to 80 percent, which has made it an integral part of the creative process for architects, product designers, and engineers as well as a powerful tool in marketing.
Bluebeam is able to create a highly efficient, lightweight version of your documents, reducing the amount of data required to store them. This means that you are no longer limited by physical storage capacity or the internet speed of your client.
How to reduce file size in bluebeam
Download the file reduction plug-in and place it in the Bluebeam project. If you don’t have a Bluebeam account, you can register for a Free trial. Choose the option for “Automatically Reduce File Size on Save”. The plug-in will automatically detect large file types, and reduce the file size of all documents, designs, and notes through a series of simple steps.
The plug-in will reduce the size of any file, even if you have not added it to the layout. This means that for a multitude of reasons, you may be working on a large number of files at any one time. It isn’t possible for Bluebeam to find all your files and store them in your project. If you add a new file to your project, it will be automatically detected by the plug-in and added to its list. When saving the file, it will be reduced in size again. This means that if you have a large number of files, the automatic detection and saving process will be very efficient.
