How did the idea for Verizon Two Notch Road come about

Directly behind Verizon’s Two Notch Road strategy is a new contract with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Under this contract, Verizon has pledged to reduce the number of customers that qualify for higher data plans. These customers would either be required to upgrade to a new plan offering more features or would be allowed to remain on their old plan but would have the data limit reduced. In addition, Verizon has also pledged to increase the high-speed data threshold from 50GB to one terabyte (1TB) while under the same contract. The 1TB plan would only cost customers $75 a month. This strategy is intended to give users more data at a cheaper cost.
For most users, data plans now represent the largest outlay of monthly expenses. Verizon Two Notch Road is a way to save money on that expense by cutting out the customers who are using their full allotted data. The reduction of these data plans enables Verizon to provide customers with more high-speed data at a cheaper rate. Less than 5% of users actually use more than 5GB of data per month. An overwhelming majority of users use less than 2GB per month and even fewer go beyond the 50GB limit (1).

What are some of the benefits of Verizon Two Notch Road

Verizon’s Two Notch Road strategy has been met with overwhelmingly criticism from the business community. This strategy might not seem like a strong idea on paper, but in practice it has some very positive points. First, Verizon’s Two Notch Road strategy is intended to cut down on business costs. The FCC contract mentioned previously states that if a company saves more than $40 a month in their network costs they will receive credit. These credits will be used to pay for any future upgrades or additions of new equipment across the Verizon network. The credits will stay active for at least two years. This strategy is meant to lower costs for businesses and consumers alike. Verizon plans to reward companies for choosing Verizon.
In January 2011, Verizon also announced that it would be cutting about 15% of its workforce. This was a company wide cut that affected all departments, including workers in the customer service department. Although this approach may seem harsh to some people, it shows that around the time the layoffs had occurred there was a need to quickly and efficiently reduce expenses. Verizon also stated that it is trying to make sure that only the top 1% of its employees are being laid off; however, out of the last round, many workers were left without jobs. Although this move may seem harsh to some, this approach is a firm business decision made by Verizon in order to save money.

How will Verizon Two Notch Road impact your business or personal life

Verizon’s Two Notch Road strategy will affect your life if you are interested in mobile data service. Verizon currently offers an LTE network that is compatible with the latest smartphones, but this network is typically out of reach for most people even with a decent budget. This includes both consumers and businesses that want to stay competitive and have reliable coverage throughout the United States. The problem with this strategy is that it limits what consumers can do with their phone while they are on it. There is nothing wrong with having a “dumb phone”, and there are some people who still prefer them. As they say, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. It is hard to believe that people who live in areas where Verizon has a good coverage are willing to pay a lot of money to have an LTE-enabled phone. While people in those areas may not care what their phone can do with unlimited data, those people are extremely interested in the latest and greatest apps that everyone else is using. They want their phones to be more than just a dumb phone with limited capabilities.

What do you need to do to take advantage of Verizon Two Notch Road

To take advantage of Verizon’s Two Notch Road strategy you will need to upgrade your plan. This can be done by visiting a Verizon store and requesting a new line or by switching over your current line (if you have an old smartphone). You will also need to buy a new smartphone that is compatible with the LTE network. These two requirements will tell Verizon that you are ready for a new plan. Just be sure to ask for the high-speed data plan if you have a smartphone that supports it.
You will also need to make sure that you are ready to take advantage of LTE. This means that you’ll need a 4G smartphone or a tablet that supports 4G networks. You will also need to check the coverage map for Verizon’s LTE network in your area, which is available on its website.
If you’re ready to upgrade, visit the Verizon website and input your zip code so that you can view the different plans available in your area. You’ll need to choose a plan that includes the amount of high-speed data you want (for caps of 10GB or 20GB, for instance). You then need to input your payment information and you’ll be ready to order your new smartphone.
