What is m-go and what does it offer users
M-Go is a subscription service that offers things like movies, TV shows, and music. It’s different from other services because it delivers each of these media in the form of a monthly streaming service instead of one paid download or single stream. For $25 per month, users gain access to an unlimited amount of content where they can watch as many movies and shows as they want without having to worry about hardware costs or early adopter purchases. M-GO is basically a service that offers what Amazon and Apple have to offer just on a subscription basis, unlike either of those companies, M-Go also offers customers the opportunity to buy or rent movies and TV shows directly from them. For example, if you feel like watching The Avengers this weekend but you don’t want to buy it for $20 bucks off of iTunes, you can head over to M-Go and watch it for $10 dollars.
M-GO was founded by Technicolor, a company that has been around since the 1920’s and is responsible for helping the movie industry transition into sound with the development of their famous systems like the Color Sound System. But they also helped give birth to other companies like Sony and Technicolor. Technicolor was in talks with Sony just a few short years ago to transfer the rights of their service over to them and study their financials for the past 5 years, which are similar to those of Netflix, Hulu, or any other streaming service. This move has not yet been announced but it’s a big step in the direction of helping companies like Apple and Amazon offer their services without requiring a set up fee or additional hardware costs to get access to content.

Creating an account on m-go is fairly easy, simply visit their website and click on the ‘sign up’ text and you’ll be greeted with a page that looks similar to this: http://www.m-go.com/signup.do.
Simply fill in your e-mail, a password you will remember and answer the captcha (if you are prompted). You know have an account. To browse on m-go, simply click on the web address that appears at the top of your browser (the one with http://www.m-go.com/ )
The quality of the videos and how they are streamed
Overall, the quality of the videos on the service is pretty amazing. There have been a few times where I’ve dropped out of watching something for a second or two and I’d be surprised to find that it had gone 30 minutes without me having noticed. The “selectable” subtitles are also really good. If you are wondering if you’ll get a really blurry bad quality video like you’d expect from streaming services, don’t worry since this one bites! The movie quality on the other hand, isn’t as impressive as it could be. It’s definitely better than what you’d expect for free streaming services, and even better than what you’d get if you were ogledking but it could be alot better. There have been times where I’ve tried to watch a video in full screen using my TV and when I do the video just looks really bad like they used the wrong video format or something similar to that. It just ends up being way too pixelated and the audio is like that too. If I’m able to watch it in full screen on my computer, I’ll be able to tell right away that it’s not even a DVD quality video because of how pixelated it looks. It’s also worth mentioning that the subtitles are also “selectable” as well so you can choose if they cover the whole of the screen or if they just stick to underneathe the videos and stuff like that. It’s definitely a plus but the movie quality just doesn’t seem to take advantage of it at all.
Pricing options and ways to save money on rentals
Personally, I think that one of the biggest things that make m-go a great service is you can rent movies for pennies on the dollar compared to purchasing them. You won’t find a movie for less than $1 on this service, and you’ll never pay more than $2.99. The selection isn’t as big as Amazon Prime or Google Play but it’s pretty decent if you look at the whole picture. The only downside to renting movies is that you either have to stream them or download them. If you don’t have the space to download a movie, or if the movie isn’t available for streaming you’re pretty much out of luck. But since the movie isn’t available in any other way, this is a minor setback.
The good thing about streaming is that it’s quick. In just a few seconds you can start to watch your movie and the app will keep on saving your progress in the background while you do something else on your device like text, talk, surf the web or play games. If you have this option, then you’re okay because there’s no need to download anything and no reason to wait days or weeks for a new movie to be released.
