What is a Babylist Career Advisor and what do they do
Babylist career advisors are experts in the field of networking, careers, and employment. They teach job-seeking skills, work closely with Babylist’s career coaches to help people find jobs, and have a friendly network of employers they can tap into to find opportunities. They are the face of Babylist’s career services, and are the first line of contact for new hires and those looking to find a job. They’re also the contact person for our campus ambassadors and partners.
Our advisors’ specific duties include:
– Recruiting and hiring candidates for Babylist’s career coaches (this is done through an internal system, via referrals from advisors and other Babylist services, and occasionally via outside recruiting)
– Referring candidates to our career coaches (usually for a fee of $250)
– Coordinating the creation of the candidate profiles on our website that are used by job seekers and employers alike to find jobs (for which the advisor will receive a $250 flat. We don’t pay per click!).
– Coordinating the creation of the candidate profiles on our website that are used by job seekers and employers alike to find jobs (for which the advisor will receive a $250 flat. We don’t pay per click!). – Organizing career fairs and networking events on campus
– Conducting mock interviews with student candidates
How to become a Babylist Career Advisor
To become a Babylist career advisor, you can find one of our hiring ambassadors at a local cafe or coffee shop. They’ll ask you a few questions about yourself and what you’re looking for in your job, then give you a description of the responsibilities and benefits of the Babylist career advisor position. As part of your application, we’ll ask for references, as well as resume and cover letter samples. [NOTE: professionals with limited business experience may be given the opportunity to test a few skills and learn more about the Babylist job before they’re asked to apply.] After you complete our online application process, an advisor will contact you back to finalize your job offer. You can work from home, but we encourage you to apply for an open-position position and live in the Babylist office. If you decide to relocate, Babylist will help you find an apartment as long as your lease is up to date. Babylist does not offer relocation assistance to candidates who are hired for permanent positions.
If you’re not close to a Babylist office and looking for a Babylist job, we’ll be happy to mail your application and interview questions directly to our hiring ambassadors. We also have online job postings for you to apply for if our hiring ambassadors aren’t near you. Just visit babylist.com/careers.
