What does a typical day look like for a senior engineering manager?

The title of this blog post should be a paragraph telling the reader what a day in the life of a senior engineering manager is like. You should include what they do all day, their responsibilities, and how they are paid. You should also note if they are part of a team, or if they manage other engineers. If you can, give some advice that you would give to a recent graduate that describes an ideal work life for someone in your position.
The first paragraph should contain two bullet points:
1. Specifics about what a senior engineer manager does all day. If you are part of a team , go into detail about the specific tasks your team carries out, and how many hours a day your team spends working. If you are managing other engineers, give an indication of how many hours they work.
2. Advice on what a junior engineer would do if they were in your position [4 spaces].
Example :
1. The first thing I do when I wake up is turn the radio on. The news is always talking about what the president is doing, or whether the economy is picking up or down. I loathe this, so I just turn it right off.

You should also include advice on how to be good at each element of their job. You can also include a section which explains what they do that is directly related to the company, such as leading a project or managing engineers. Finally, you might want to write a section which mentions some of the challenges faced by an engineering manager. [ARTICLE END]

What skills and experience are necessary to be successful in this position?

The next section of your blog should describe the skills and experience necessary to be successful in this role. You should include examples of skills that are required, and if management is a big part of the role you should include advice on how to manage people. It is important to also note if there are any special tools that they need to use, or that the company provides. If the job is part of a team you can give advice on how to be successful in this role as part of a team. If you are looking to learn more about the company or their products you can add that to the article.
When you have finished your blog section make sure to include a final conclusion so people know why they should chose this job or not. You could also include a call to action in the form of a question, such as: “What are your thoughts on this role?” Enjoy!
