Recent projects that Element 31 has completed and how they have helped their clients achieve their goals
Element 31 has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, from large corporations to local non-profit organizations. One example is their work with the Mountain Island Lake Association (MLIA). This project allowed for Element 31 to help create an identity for the association by developing a brand and visual identity, as well as designing a new website. They also helped MLIA with a master plan, which included a comprehensive survey of the entire community to gather information that would help develop the master plan guidelines. Element 31’s goal was to provide the association with new opportunities to engage its members and create significant value for future generations. Element 31 put together a strategy and design guidelines to create a new community vision. They used images and text that conveyed the natural beauty of the region, as well as emphasized the importance of conservation.
This project has helped MLIA achieve its goals of creating a clear brand identity, better understanding their audience, increasing visibility and establishing credibility. It has also allowed them to establish a uniform style guide that they can use as they begin to work on future projects.

Testimonials from past clients who have worked with Element 31 and what they thought of the experience
Element 31 worked with The Massey Company to develop a master plan and open street signage. The project included streetscaping, ‘greening’ the downtown area, and incorporating a historic tree into their next phase of city development. The team at The Massey company was impressed with the ability of the Architect’s to understand and work within their budget. They also appreciated that they were very creative in their design, while still staying true to their budget.
The architect’s at Element 31 incorporated many historic aspects into their design. This was a great benefit to the company because they were able to maintain the look and feel of an old city while incorporating new elements in order to develop a master plan for future growth.
“They were easy to work with, understood all of our budget constraints and still came up with some great concepts that everyone on the team really liked.”-Karen Wells, Executive Assistant to Mr. Massey
“Our main objective was to create an environment where our employees, customers and the people of Charlotte would feel welcome. We wanted it to be a community space that everyone would enjoy.” -Bob Massey, President of The Massey Company
