You can see how your posts are performing on different social media platforms
The Hootsuite analytics post performance section shows you how your posts performed (or under-performed) on different social media platforms. By clicking the three dots, you can see how the post performed on individual sites.
Note: If you’ve noticed a post with a high number of retweets/likes, but no comments, it’s possible that the engagement came from one of your followers who is using different social media sites. For example: Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

You can track how much traffic each post is generating
The post performance section of the analytics dashboard tells you how many people have viewed each post, and where they came from. It also includes a break down of impressions and clicks. This can be a useful way to judge the effectiveness of your content, and to see how to improve upon it. It is also useful for finding new places where you can post your content, as you can see which sites are performing the best. For example, if you post a blog on your website and it’s only viewed by five people, you might want to repost it on Facebook or LinkedIn where more engagement is likely to occur.
To view the post performance area, log into hootsuite analytics through the dashboard and click on performance in the top navigation bar:
Once you’re in the post performance section of analytics, click on “view all posts” to see how each individual post is performing.
This will bring up a spreadsheet like the one below, which shows you how many impressions the post received and how many clicks it received. You can see that this blog has generated 51 views and 16 clicks throughout various social networks, as well as an estimated value of $93.84 (based on the cost per click (CPC) of SocialPilot).

You can see which posts are being shared the most
You can also view how many shares each post has had. This can be useful, as you can see which of your posts are being shared more, and therefore which ones you should focus on in future. You can also see which of your posts are being shared on Twitter most often, which is useful for content marketing.
This is easily done by looking on the post performance area within the analytics tab.

You may also find that your posts are performing better on certain social media networks than others. This is useful for determining which networks are best for your posts.
You can determine the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns by using the performance area within hootsuite analytics.
Post performance is a measure of two things: how many people have seen your post and how many people bought your product or signed up to your mailing list. Both these things are tracked separately, so in the case of an email campaign, you can see whether there has been a successful release or not. In some cases you may want to see which discount codes were redeemed or which products were most popular.
To determine post performance, go to ‘your content’ in the bottom left corner of the page and select ‘post performance’. It will show the number of people who saw your post, the number who bought your product and the number who signed up to your mailing list. If you have used a promotional code you might see another value added here:
