Check the email’s sender

Hover over any links in the email to see their destination
For example, when you see a link titled “click here” in an email message, hover your mouse over the link to see the destination. If it’s a web page, then you can be almost certain that what you clicked on is nothing but a scam. Similarly if there is a link to click on which takes you to another email message rather than displaying the web page itself, then this second email message may too be bogus. There are several other “red flags” you should look for if a link in an email message is likely to be suspicious. These include links that do not display the “target” web page at all, and links that actually open a web page from a different domain than the one it was sent from.
