What is nmm and what are its benefits
NMM is short for ‘Nexus Mod Manager’ which lets you manage your mods through one unified interface. It has many positive benefits such as increased performance, easy installation/removal of files, and less clutter on the screen. NMM has since been discontinued by the creator and replaced with an updated program called Vortex known as ‘Vortex Mod Manager’. Vortex has a more robust tools for managing mods and does not have many of the disadvantages that NMM had. However, the primary benefit of Vortex is that it can be used to manage mods for multiple games such as Skyrim.
The best way to install mods for your game is through NMM. This will make it far easier to find out which mods you want and also help you not get confused by a mod that you had installed in another game.
NMM also has many other benefits such as being able to check your current mods, create backups of all the mods, update some of your files with their latest versions, and more. This can be useful when a mod breaks and you want to remove it. It’s also a good idea to make backups of your mods as NMM can update them and make them better over time.
How to set custom launch command in nmm
After you’ve downloaded and installed NMM, you can now set the custom launch command. To do this, first go to the ‘Settings’ tab on the top left of NMM’s interface. In this tab, click the button that says “LAUNCH COMMAND” near the top right of this interface. Next, add a custom launch command in the command box that appears at the bottom of this page. Now you need to add the parameters for your custom launch command in the next 3 fields. Be sure to enter a complete path (including file names) and not just a single filename. After that, press ‘Add Command.’ To add another property to your custom command, repeat this process. To remove a property or command, simply change what’s in the Command field and press ‘Save Changes.’

Troubleshooting tips for setting up custom launch commands in nmm
If you have set your custom launch command using the instructions above, and it will not work, there are a few things that you can try. First, make sure that all of your parameters are correct by checking for typos. Next, check to see if the program has permission to change the file to which you are trying to launch. If it doesn’t, you should try restarting your computer. Additionally, if you believe that there is something wrong with the file you are trying to launch, try deleting it and replacing it with another copy. If all else fails, try disabling NMM’s custom launch command feature by un-checking the “Launch with custom command” option under the “Launch options” section of the program.
If you are using Steam, it is possible that your custom launch command is being ignored due to Steam’s launch restrictions. To fix this, right click on a game in your library and click “Properties”. Then, go to the “Local files” tab, and select “Verify integrity of game cache…”. This will fix any potential issues with Steam’s version of NMM. Finally, in Steam, click “Exit Steam” to properly close the program.
Additionally, if you are trying to launch a game that isn’t online-compatible (i.e., it requires a direct connection to a server), it may not work. Check the game’s requirements before trying any fixes.
