The gender pay gap in the context of gambling

The figures are now in for the first year of the UK’s gender pay gap reporting regime. Reporting on gender pay is now mandatory for organisations with 250 or more employees, with the private sector having to publish their first annual reports by 4 April 2018. Reporting is now an annual obligation, and so whilst the media and employees reflect on last years’ numbers, employers are already focussing on next year’s report - the snapshot date for recording 2018 figures was 5 April - which will need to be published on or before 4 April 2019. Marian Bloodworth and Susan Biddle of Kemp Little LLP, discuss the new obligations in the context of gambling and the lessons to be learnt from the steps being taken in other industries to address the gender pay gap.
